Service-Area Page Structure for 5–20 Location Businesses
How to structure service area pages without creating thin, duplicate content that Google ignores.
Stop the 'Find and Replace' Strategy
Creating 20 identical pages where only the city name changes is a fast track to the spam filter. Each location page must offer unique, localized value.
The Ideal Page Structure
Start with the specific services offered at that location. Include a dynamic map, local reviews, specific team members (if applicable), and localized case studies or project galleries.
Internal Linking is Crucial
Do not orphan your location pages. Link to them naturally from your primary service pages and your main service area hub. This establishes a clear hierarchy for crawlers.
